Made for GMTK Game Jam 2026 on the theme of COUNT DOWN.

Made by Marcus. Thank you to Nik, Nicole, Rick and Callum for testing the game and providing feedback!

Tools used: Zed, Chiptone, Aseprite and Bandlab.

This is the first music I've really put together, it was quite the learning curve and such a fantastic experience. It's great reminder to drop yourself in the deep end every now and then. I now know what the word Arpeggio means... even if I struggle to spell it.

Every time I come back to making pixel art I always find it quite a compelling experience. I love the initial phase of blocking in colours and figuring out what shapes I'm trying to make.

This is quite a solid roguelite shooter, I'm surprised there aren't any comments.

Nice retro graphics, sounds, music, story, fun mechanics, mostly balanced upgrades, a menu! It definitely has a polished feel overall.

The only upgrade I felt was lacking was the shot AoE + CD, Long Fuse, was it? AFAICT, the explosive enemy one is pretty much the same without its drawback, but I could be wrong.

Take this with a pinch of salt as I'm in no way a designer, but I wonder if some visible cue to the game's genre might help catch people's eye. I could tell it was likely a high quality one just by the cover, though.
